York, PA -- The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) today announced that it will hold a public information meeting to unveil the initial conceptual ecological restoration and site improvement considerations for Susquehanna Riverlands State Park in York County.
An overview of the master planning process and several preliminary design ideas will be presented at the meeting. Following the presentation, there will be an opportunity for attendees to interact with DCNR staff in smaller group settings and offer feedback on the draft concepts.
The meeting is scheduled for 6:00 P.M., Thursday, February 29, at the Eastern York High School Auditorium, 720 Cool Creek Rd., Wrightsville, PA 17368.
Prior to organizing the February public information meeting, DCNR held meetings with resource and cultural stakeholders, and conducted a public survey to gain feedback about what to consider as part of a master plan for both land conservation and stewardship efforts, as well as recreational opportunities and amenities within Susquehanna Riverlands State Park.
