DCNR’s Bureau of Forestry is Offering an Onsite Hiring Event
Potter Township, PA -- The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) will hold an onsite hiring event this week at its Bureau of Forestry’s Penn Nursery.
Onsite interviews will be offered from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 11, 2024, for conservation aids and equipment operators at Penn Nursery, located at 137 Penn Nursery Road, Spring Mills, PA.
Applications for seasonal forestry technicians also will be accepted.
The hiring event is a great opportunity for applicants interested in a career in public service to learn more about the work of DCNR’s Bureau of Forestry, while providing a potential pathway to entry-level positions.
“Our conservation aids and equipment operators are essential to the work the nursery does in providing seedlings that help us maintain healthy and diverse state forests,” Penn Nursery Manager Annetta Ayers said. “For those that enjoy working outside and being part of a team, these are great opportunities.”
Applicants should bring two forms of identification, a detailed work history, and a smartphone if available.
Those interested in the equipment operator positions must have a valid CDL Class A license with no restrictions.
Participants can save time by reviewing open positions and applying before the event at the
Pennsylvania Employment website.
